This site complies with the 1997 Directive of the European Parliament and Council on the Protection of Consumers in respect of distance Selling. The details can be found at the European Commission web site. All suppliers participating in this site are obliged to fulfil these conditions.

The main provisions of the Directive are:

In good time prior to the conclusion of any distance, the consumer shall be provided with the following information:

The identity of the supplier and, in the case of contracts requiring payment in advance, his address;

The main characteristics of the goods or services;

The price of the goods including all taxes;

Delivery costs where appropriate;

The arrangements for payment, delivery or performance;

the existence of a right of withdrawal;

Right of Withdrawal

For any distance contract the consumer shall have a period of at least 7 working days in to withdraw from the contract without penalty and without giving any reason. The only charge that may be made to the consumer because of the exercise of his right of withdrawal is the direct cost of returning the goods.

Performance

Unless the parties have agreed otherwise, the supplier must execute the order within a maximum of 30 days from the day following that on which the consumer forwarded his order to the supplier.

Liability

Walk Easy products, excluding consumable items such as batteries, lamps and ink, are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship by Walk Easy ltd, in normal use for a period of one year form the date of purchase. This guarantee is only valid if the product has not been altered, modified or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer, and is also invalidated where a replacement consumable item has been incorrectly fitted. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. Consumers are again reminded that they have the protection of the distance selling directive discussed above.
